STUNT The Sport

Roseville High School is proud to offer a newly developed sport format for cheerleading: STUNT, the new competitive team spring sport derived from cheerleading!

Tryout Clinic
Begins Wednesday, January 11
RHS Cafe

Roseville High School has a successful, highly-regarded cheer program and is looking to expand to this newly developed team sport! All local high schools will have teams to compete against in weekly matches.

Tryouts for this spring sport will take place in January.

Not a cheerleader? Not a problem! We’re seeking all female athletes to try out!

Bring your parent/guardian to our informational meeting in the RHS Library on Monday, December 19, at 7pm to learn more!

Matches will begin in late February/early March and end in May. Tryouts will be held in January with practices beginning as soon as possible after the team is named.

Be sure to bring a completed RHS STUNT Handbook to the first tryout clinic. And make sure you review the RHS STUNT Contact as well.

Learn more about STUNT tryouts and STUNT The Sport by reviewing the STUNT FAQ page or visit the websites listed on the right. Details about STUNT games can be found on our What is STUNT? page.

You MUST Have a Physical BEFORE Tryouts

If you already have a current 2016-2017 physical on file with Cheer or another sport on campus, you do NOT have to do a new one.

ALL girls that want to tryout must have a physical clearance card completed BEFORE you participate in the first CLINIC. This is different than Unity tryouts!

Tryouts will be held after winter break to give you time to be seen by your doctor and have your paperwork processed.

Details about the athletic clearance process can be found on the Roseville High School athletics website.

STUNT vs Comp vs Unity

How is STUNT different than the Competition or Unity teams?

This is an emerging CIF sport. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

Learn More About STUNT

As part of its NCAA Emerging Sport initiative, USA Cheer created STUNT as an opportunity for colleges, universities, and high schools to meet the strict Title IX requirements of a sport, while still preserving traditional cheerleading.

With more than 500,000 high school cheerleaders nationwide, STUNT expands participation opportunities for young women by providing an avenue for female athletes to use their cheerleading skill backgrounds in a new format.
